Two pop-up broadcast studios that allowed for social distancing were created across our SimLabs and Makerspace so that facilitators could support each other delivering online programs.
These studios were well lit, acoustically separated, and technically set up to reduce preparation time.
As demand grew, a third studio emerged in the Learning Exchange and Learning Gallery. During the second lockdown, we purchased additional equipment and created mini home studios.
On returning to onsite work in Term 4, the broadcast studios were recreated, thereby supporting programs where multiple school groups collaborated on a project.
Critical support from Monash University eSolutions enabled Monash Tech School to guarantee service delivery. Its Enterprise Zoom licence and AARNet high-speed connection were essential to our work.
