We are excited to announce that we’re partnering with Clean Energy focused organisations to facilitate work experience placements for Year 10 students at Victorian Secondary Schools in the City of Monash.

Through this program, students will be given real, hands-on experience demonstrating what it's actually like to work in the industry.
Activities may include:
Shadowing engineers, technicians, data analysts, as well as professionals working in sales, marketing, policy development, strategic planning, and design, across both on-site and office settings
Assisting in assembling clean energy prototypes (under direct supervision)
Completing workplace safety inductions or participating in toolbox talks
Using design software to assist with modelling or planning
Reviewing sustainability reports or environmental impact data with a mentor
Creating presentations or posters on clean energy solutions for internal team use
Conducting interviews with staff to learn about roles and pathways
Helping prepare site visit materials or basic documentation for clients
Participating in brainstorming or innovation sessions around net-zero targets
Understanding the supply chain for clean energy products and services
As well as providing students with an opportunity to get a closer look at the innovations and technologies being implemented now and in the future, the program aims to help students discover the enormous number of career and education paths to enter and advance in the sector. Students will build up their understanding of the skills required for professionals in the clean energy sector, build their future employer network and mentors, and earn industry badges - official digital recognition of their involvement in the program and the skills they developed to show off to future employers and tertiary providers.
Thanks so much to the industry partners, teachers and students who have enthusiastically embraced this program so far. This program is funded by the Department of Education.
