Discovering Renewable Energy Opportunities

Last Tuesday, Highvale, Wellington and Wheelers Hill Secondary Colleges students participated in our Renewable Energies Industry Immersion at Holmesglen. 

Students explored the possibilities of careers in the renewable energy sector by participating in a series of rotations investigating engineering, solar and electrical sectors led by Holmesglen educators. Students got hands-on experience in each rotation, working through wiring circuits, solar panel installation and building their own phone case using metal fabrication machines. 

An industry panel saw students ask insightful questions of professionals currently working in the Renewable Energy industry. A wide range of pathways were represented, with Six Star Plus, the SEC Victoria, and Vestas joining us to answer students' questions about the industry and their career journeys. 

The energy was high, with students engaged and asking questions throughout the whole day. Thank you to all of our industry partners for their work in delivering such a valuable opportunity for students.
