Last Friday, the Future Solutions Industry Immersion took over Australian Manufacturing Week at the Melbourne Convention Centre.

Sixty-one students from our partner schools explored the corporate, trade show environment through a specialised tour of stands from various organisations in the engineering and advanced manufacturing sectors. The showfloor space and stands housed large-scale manufacturing equipment, which students could hear about and ask questions about.

The Future Solutions Hub was another part of the session, being a space for short, sharp presentations by organisations and training providers, with students hearing from professionals currently working in the industry. Professionals from BOSCH, RMIT University, Ai Group, Melbourne Polytechnic and more presented about the work of their organisation and pathways opportunities available for students. Following their presentations, students could explore the stands from each organisation and have further conversations about their own future pathways.

Thank you to our partners, AMTIL and Geelong Tech School, for their work in developing such a valuable opportunity for students.

Future Solutions brought together multiple Tech Schools, allowing students from all over Victoria to explore, tour and discover Australian Manufacturing Week. Thank you so much to Geelong Tech School, Whittlesea Tech School, and Yarra Ranges Tech School for participating in this event.
